We find in Diz. Risorgimento Nat. vol IV (People) p. 326:
Spech, Heliodorus ( Milan 1810 - 1866 there ), captain and then colonel.
Milanese, known as the Mirror, was a good singer already corporal serving in the Roman Republic (1849).
It was believed to have lived in Bologna because that city as a child and raised by his aunt.
E 'indicated as "an exile Millesimo came to America, a frequent guest Scolopi friend and correspondent Hero."
There is a letter to Cesare Abba Mario Pratesi, Venice, which is written in Cairo, July 21, 1873 (in Letters of GCAbba, Ed. Nat. Morcelliana and . p. 278) who says he wrote " Mrs. Salvi of Bologna, sister of Colonel mirrors that you know what was my friend and June 21, 1866, committed suicide in Molfetta .
While the prof. Scirocco, in his book about the hero of the Two Worlds writes that " in February 1861, the island of Caprera, Garibaldi is dressed elegantly for his daughter Teresa, with her dancing a waltz played on piano by Heliodorus Mirrors, tenor giuventù in, then the official Garibaldi .
